As a Business Process Lead, you are responsible for providing high quality expertise to users of the Ontario Health atHome’s key business applications. This support will include analyzing business process concepts and methods, developing and implementing key business process applications and practice.

What will you do?

  • Develops and maintains an excellent business knowledge and understanding of the key Client Services business processes used in Ontario Health atHome which includes but is not limited to:
  • Patient Service policies and procedures, CHRIS business processes and any other applicable systems;
  • Prepares industry standard documentation in business process and information flow related to business practices in Ontario Health atHome;
  • Provides direction to facilitate and lead the development, and maintenance of the above documentation as directed by business owners;
  • Engages document owners, subject matter experts, and business and client service leads to validate and lead the development of new processes required for initiatives in Ontario Health atHome;
  • Leads in the identification and development of process alignment between Ontario Health atHome and external health partners
  • Compares, contrasts and evaluates business process system flows within the organization to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency, in accordance with strategic directives;
  • Identifies and proposes efficient changes and improvements in business flows for optimal efficiency and minimization of duplication and waste in the system;
  • Participates in generating and/reviewing the delivery of process changes to staff at Ontario Health atHome;
  • Leads in the organization and planning of business process training to client Services and other Ontario Health atHome Staff in order to support business practice;
  • Participates in CHRIS release management – examining release information, identifying business impacts and required changes or development, preparing material to support the change;
  • Plays an active role in the examination and analysis of future potential CHRIS functionality rollout – understanding the impact of change and capacity of Ontario Health atHome
  • Active leader and participant in evaluation of business processes and impacts;
  • Assists in developing application specific business continuity plans and providing education on these plans;
  • Provides input and advice for data quality management;
  • Participates and organizes special projects as required;
  • Participates in orientation of new staff including coordinating return to work education and schedule and coordination of application and clinical education of new hires;
  • Attends and participates in meetings as required;
  • Performs other duties as required.

What must you have?

  • Diploma or Degree (or equivalent in a related field) plus relevant experience;
  • 2-3 years experience, preferably in a healthcare setting;
  • Preferred experience working in process analysis preferably in a healthcare environment;
  • Experience in delivering and supporting adult training/education sessions preferred;
  • Experience in customer service preferred;
  • Project Management certification and/or experience an asset;
  • LEAN methodology experience is an asset;
  • Excellent computer skills - Windows, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook;
