Reporting to and under the direction of the Manager, Information Technology, Applications and Business Systems, the Information Technology (IT) Analyst, Business and Control role is a vital link between business objectives and technology solutions. The position is responsible for working with subject matter experts to understand business needs and translating these needs into documented requirements for implementation in forms and solutions. The role will see forms and solutions through the entire build from recording requirements and drafting standardized content, to mock-ups and gaining consensus, to solution testing, liaising with the education team and scheduling releases. The position has a strong collaborative working relationship with teams across Ontario Health atHome and with Ontario Health and supports initiatives related to patient services, staffing planning and business continuity, including labour relations planning.

 

What will you do?

  • Maintain a wholesome knowledge of Ontario Health atHome and Partner businesses
  • Gather and document requirements from stakeholders
  • Create use case scenarios, user stories, wireframes, data models, storyboards, business process models
  • Use business and technical skills to create solutions
  • Evaluate and advise on solutions that offer the best impact for the Ontario Health atHome business and patients according to our vision
  • Assist in designing and maintaining system processes
  • Develop test cases and perform change control testing to ensure requirements are met.
  • Analyze processes or system solutions for improvement
  • Create, manage, and communicate project plans to stakeholders
  • Create full user support documentation for engineered systems
  • Support education for solutions developed
  • Provide post-implementation support
  • Work with the development team to on implementation plans and to establish releases
  • Champion forms and solutions across the organization

 

What must you have?

  • Diploma or Degree in Business or Information Technology, or related experience
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • 2 to 3 years of experience working in a health care setting
  • Past Information Technology project management experience an asset
  • Familiar with the creation and execution of test cases
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate opportunistic innovative ideas with internal and external partners
  • Aptitude to work collaboratively in both Ontario Health atHome and OH team environments to accomplish organizational objectives
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships and working relations with stakeholders across departmental lines
  • Adept team player who is action oriented, with a record of accomplishment of motivating other team members to achieve higher goals and improving the impact of technology initiatives
  • Ability to coach and train colleagues to advocate learning and building team capacity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise manner and demonstrated experience presenting materials to large audiences.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrated problem solving abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented, creative, and self-motivated
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills to implement work assignments, manage competing demands and work under pressure
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and customer-service oriented

Salary

$67,765 to $80,915
