As a Support Service Officer, you will provide support for the assigned team in their daily activities to ensure that patients receive prompt, effective customer service.

What will you do?

 

Under the Direction of the Manager, Emergency Management, Facilities and Procurement, the Support Services Officer is responsible for ensuring that facilities management and office support functions are carried out in a timely and effective manner. Service delivery objectives will be in accordance with the property leasing arrangements and Support Services policies and procedures. The objective of this position is to implement a range of facility and fixtures management functions and to coordinate the physical workplace with the people and work of the Ontario Health atHome.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Support Services to plan, organize and administer facilities and fixtures management functions in accordance with standard facilities practices, and related policies and procedures
  • Implement and monitor Ontario Health atHome administrative policies and procedures related to facilities
  • Manage specific elements of the organization’s space and oversee the day-to-day tenant landlord relationship
  • Collaborate with the Manager, Support Services to:
    o Prepare the necessary documentation to issue Tenders, Requests for Quotations, or Requests for Proposals to purchase equipment, supplies or services
    o Select the most appropriate procurement method, issues Tenders, FRQs, or RFPs
    o Review contract specifications or Scopes of Work with clients or vendors/suppliers to ensure completeness and avoid any confusion
    o Determine the most appropriate selection method, evaluation criteria and weightings to support the supplier selection method
    o Evaluate responses and recommends supplier(s) based on the evaluation criteria
  • Provide support for facility operations, office logistics (furniture, supplies, courier, repair, janitorial, etc.)
  • May also perform some of the following:
    o Maintain knowledge of specific areas assigned by keeping abreast of facilities issues and industry standards
    o Provide coverage for the Manager, Support Services during their absence
    o Provide coverage for other Support Services staff during periods of absence
    o Other related duties as assigned

Starting Salary: $27.420 /hr

Length of Temporary Assignment: 1 year

What you must have?

  • Three (3) year diploma in related discipline and
  • Courses in related areas such as Ergonomics, Workplace Safety & Hazards, and procurement OR Education or expertise satisfactory to the Ontario Health atHome
  • We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date.

 

What would give you the edge?

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Ontario Health atHome facilities operations, logistics, and
    Support
  • Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset
