Ontario Health at Home is looking for an experienced Director that will be accountable for the delivery and implementation of all Patient Services programs. The Director, Patient Services also has functional responsibility for assigned program development and evaluation. This role calls for a Regulated Health Professional knowledge base combining clinical expertise in patient care practices with the ability to build and manage productive relationships, plan, implement and manage budgets, and lead and coach a skilled team to meet program and business goals. The position develops and evolves strategic partnerships and programming with providers and partners across sectors and services, working with internal and external partners to provide patient-focused, quality and safe services and effective integration along the care continuum.

What will you do?
- Direct a team of Managers, supporting the implementation and integration of provincial policies, processes and practices into patient care procedures to support excellence in care delivery
- Monitor and direct day-to-day operations and delivery of programs within assigned portfolio to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to, organizational goals and objectives are met, and services are being delivered effectively; taking corrective action as necessary
- Develop and implement a plan of action to manage portfolio and area budget variances
- Resolve serious Patient Service issues that arise in the geographic area and program beyond the scope of the Managers
- Review program delivery issues and make recommendations to the Vice President, Patient Services, develops an implementation plan, adopts new policies, procedures and tools to improve service delivery and evaluates program effectiveness
- Lead/direct patient services training in the transition to new initiatives, technologies, policies, procedures and processes
- Analyze and provide advice to the Vice President, Patient Services regarding Patient service issues and their impact on other service areas within the assigned portfolio and area
- Monitors and follows up on Risk Event Management reports related to assigned portfolio
- Liaise with SPOs and Vendors to resolve issues
- Identifies service requirements for inclusion in Request for Proposal (RPF) documents and participates in the evaluation of RFPs if requested

What must you have?
- University degree in a healthcare discipline; master's degree an asset
- Membership and in good standing as a Regulated Health Professional (RHP) with their applicable College. Must maintain their membership as an RHP
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a health care environment including 3-5 years’ experience in progressive leadership positions
- Significant experience in managing patient service programs, using proven principles and theories of direct care/service delivery models in a community setting
What would give you the edge?
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of Ontario Health atHome current programs, the healthcare system, including the Ministry of Health (MOH), Ontario Health, Ministry of Long-Term Care (MLTC), Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) and other community agencies and partners
- Ability to apply ethical and risk management decision making framework to sensitive issues and decisions
- Ability to Manage multiple, large projects or facilitates complex discussions that involve stakeholders from across the healthcare sector who have varying interests/goals
- Ability to Develop and implements plans to respond to budget issues within the portfolio and area
- Ability to ensure appropriate staff policies and procedures are in place and followed. i.e. Health & Safety
- Experience in providing leadership and guidance in managing grievances at the first line management level

Salary Range: Non-Union Band 9 $139,978.41 to $167,141.12
