Ontario Health at Home is looking for an experienced leader in financial reporting and analysis to provide oversight for internal reporting requirements for the organization.  The position manages month-end reporting, provides customer service to internal and external clients and leads the operations and management of the team responsible for building reports, pulling transactional data and performing analysis for all month end and ad hoc reports.

  • Salary - $108,339 to $129,362

 

What will you do?

  • Leads the preparation and sets the prioritization of all provincial month-end, quarterly, and year-end reports and other financial reports/analyses on progress and results against budget and year over year (YOY).
  • Prepares monthly financial reporting package for review by Director, Management Reporting and Analysis and VP, Financial Planning and Business Support for submission to the Board and Senior Leadership Team.
  • Develops additional financial reports required to meet the needs of the organization
  • Leads, initiates and manages financial, variance and trending analyses using appropriate tools to interpret results and communicate recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team, and the Board,
  • Designated subject matter expert on all financial reporting and general ledger structure activities.
  • Responsible for understanding and advising on the Management Reporter (MR) ensuring optimum functionality and performance
  • Provides leadership and strategic direction to the Financial Reporting Team
  • Responds to inquiries from senior leadership team and other department heads regarding financial results, special reporting requests to support business decisions.
  • Supports the Director, Management Reporting and Analysis on special projects and workflow process improvements.

 

What must you have? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce is required; Master’s degree would be an asset
  • Designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of financial reporting and analysis experience;
  • Initiative and leadership skills to manage multiple job responsibilities, set priorities, problem solve, meet deadlines and drive process improvements
  • Knowledge of project management principles, approaches and methodologies to coordinate and lead financial analysis initiatives
  • Experience in providing leadership in the development and initiation of economic and financial analysis to support fiscal planning, reporting, and operational changes
  • Knowledge of finance tools and systems available to support information reporting and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills including ability to analyze and review data for anomalies, inaccuracies, and trends
  • Exceptional planning with sound professional judgement
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build solid working relationships with the stakeholders in the organization
  • Experience with coaching, mentoring and motivating staff with the ability to inspire others to work towards common goals by engaging and empowering them
  • Ability to elicit new ideas, build buy-in and achieve innovative solutions
  • Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy when dealing with sensitive matters
  • We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy. As a condition of employment, all employees are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination status prior to start date

 

What would give you the edge?

  • 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role
