Under the direction of the Manager, Network Services the Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting and deploying Technology Systems for the Ontario Health atHome Champlain Region. The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of Champlain’s LAN and WAN as well as administering a Windows Server network.
What will you do?
- Maintain all corporate Windows servers, routers, switches and other network peripherals
- Perform server upgrades and changes
- Support e-mail network infrastructure
- Support core network infrastructure and remote offices (LAN/WAN/AP)
- Coordinate and implement special projects tasked by the Manager of Network Services
- Implement LAN and WAN security measures
- Analyze system backups and recovery
- Implement security, network access policies and procedures including implementation of Cyber Security Safeguards.
- Perform backup daily and periodic cleanup of disc space
- Maintain connections to remote offices, ISP, C3
- Monitor System performance, contingency plan and disaster recovery; implement disaster recovery strategies
- Provide coverage for Help Line Technicians on an as needed basis
- Maintain system documentation
- Provide assistance and technical advice to the help line technician and act as resource person on specialized technical matters.
- Provide coverage for the Manager of Network Services

What must you have?
- Three-year post-secondary computer science degree
- MCSE certification for MCSE Core Infrastructure or equivalent with combination of experience and education
- Minimum 5 years of related experience in a customer-focused professional business environment.
- Other relevant combination of education and experience deemed acceptable
- Working knowledge of various technologies and applications, including Microsoft Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Exchange email, Microsoft Windows Terminal Server Services, Microsoft Windows SQL, Microsoft Hyper-V, Microsoft DFS, CSV’s and DR Features such as High Availability for SQL
- Knowledge of File Server management
- Knowledge of Print Server management/Papercut
- Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Server
- Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint
- Knowledge of Windows 10/11
- Knowledge of Commvault / Applicable Backup solutions
- Knowledge of Windows Defender EndPoint VPN technology
- Knowledge of Switches, routers and AP’s
- Knowledge of Microsoft Network printing and printing services
- Driving is required to travel to other Ontario Health atHome Champlain and stakeholders’ locations so adverse weather conditions are a consideration
